Portable Warmth!

I made gloves! The easiest, warmest gloves ever! Ok, maybe not, but I think they are super fantastic! (Wow, exclamation marks O.O) So anyway, here's how to make them:
Yet Another Pathetic Tutorial Made By Someone That Doesn't know What She's Doing!
Step one:  Make some rectangles that are long enough to wrap around your hand and wide enough to reach from just below your wrist to just above your middle knuckle
Step two: Stitch the two ends together leaving enough room for your thumb.
Step three: Voila! You have fantastic gloves! Show them off!

Camera Batteries!

It's the beginning of a scarf. An easy-peasy scarf. AQE, you should definitely make one. Here's what you do: make a bunch of granny squares, then put them together. I plan to put them together using an alternating pattern of slip-stitches and double crochets (maybe a tutorial for that later?). Here's a great tutorial for granny squares.I promise a better post next time.

Still no camera batteries...

Yeah, still no batteries... So I have decided that you, audience of questionable existence, need an actual post. I'm sure I've bored you out of your -possibly imaginary- minds. So, here's a recipe for home-made butter milk biscuits.

                  Butter Milk Bisquits
Notes: This recipe makes more than enough for family of five. It's easily cut in half. My dad absolutely loves them with chocolate sauce (I promise, it's not weird, it tastes like chocolate layer cake) for which will follow...eventually...

Ingredients:
*4 cups self-rising flour
*2 cups butter milk (in the absence of buttermilk, measure out the milk, add 1 tablespoon of vinegar, and let sit 1 minute. This is more economic for me because it tastes exactly the same and doesn't result in 3\4 of a jug of butter milk being wasted)
*3 or 4 tablespoons of shortening (Crisco) or butter

Steps:
Pre-heat the oven to 350 (Fahrenheit). Grease a pan. Put your flour in a large bowl. Add your shortening. with two butter knives, "chop" the shortening into the flour with scissor-like motions until the shortening is scattered around the flour in very small lumps. Add your buttermilk and coat your hands in flour. Mix the dough together using your hands (I know, ick, but that's the only way, I promise). Trying not to handle the dough to much, form the dough into balls and place on the greased pan. Bake for about 14 minutes until the biscuits are firm. Don't try to use the brown-ness of the biscuits as an indicator, they remain a very light color.

Sorry!

Sorry you guys(from now on I shall refer to you as audience of questionable existence)! Still haven't gotten camera batteries... Why? Because I'm ~lazy~. And also have no money. So tell me audience of questionable existence(AQE possibly?), how was your week? I spent mine shoving my brain full of knowledge and making beanie-beards. I also dressed like a zombie. It was incredibly awesome.
Here's hoping your week was equally awesome,

Hi!

I should probably tell you guys a little bit about myself (assuming anyone is reading this), especially since I can't seem to figure out how to work the "about me" side bar... Any way, I absolutely love to make things, hence the craft blog, I crochet, cross-stitch, sew, bake, and (sort-of) knit. Until next time!

Welcome!

Hi you guys! This is my very first post on my brand-spanking new blog. This blog is going to be primarily dedicated to crafts with the occasional venture into cooking. It'll probably take me some time to get the hang of things, so please be patient! (hopefully I'm not just talking to myself out here:P) I'll be along with some tutorials soon (just as soon as I get some batteries for my camera...) Thanks for reading! (Hopefully some one is!)
